Structural Concrete Repairs Include Epoxy Crack Injection & Rebar Replacement
Concrete is an extremely strong and durable material commonly used in many construction projects. While its highly compressive strength makes it an ideal building material, it also makes it susceptible to cracks because concrete cannot move or expand without breaking. Whether your building's concrete has structural damage due to oceanfront salt air, ground settling, or decades of wear and tear, the experts at ConcreteMike LLC have a solution for you. When repairing structural concrete damage, we prep the surface of the structure and then inject epoxy into the cracks using a high-pressure injection. The following day, we remove the excess epoxy from the surface. If there's minor damage to the rebar, we'll clean the rebar and apply an anti-corrosion epoxy coating to inhibit rusting. If the rebar is badly deteriorated, we'll cut the concrete back until good rebar is visible and then remove and replace the damaged rebar. The resulting repaired concrete is even stronger than the original, much like welding the concrete back together.
